Background (Preamble):
All State and Territory Governments of Australia need to do more to keep convicted paedophiles off our streets. When a child is raped he/she suffers for life, and that directly impacts their family and friends.
We need to make the sentences tougher in order to keep our children safe and to send a clear message to all those who might continue committing these heinous crimes that this behaviour will not be tolerated.
Life sentences (forever) for first time convicted paedophiles, let's not give them the chance to re-offend.

We, the undersigned, call on all States and Territory Governments of Australia to change sentencing laws, to reflect the impact that it has on its victims.
Victims suffer a lifetime, so paedophiles should suffer a lifetime sentence.
