Description/History:
Marijuana was legally used as far back as 7000 B.C. In 1937 marijuana was made illegal because it is considered a gateway drug, it used to be associated with oppressed social groups, and the government can't make a profit off of it.
The legalization of marijuana would be useful because regardless of the fact that it is illegal, people are going to continue using it. Legalizing marijuana would help with this because there could be restrictions, and regulations regarding the use of the drug, and there should of course be warnings regarding the drug.
The legalization would also allow for the money being used to jail people due to marijuana related arrests.
