Background (Preamble):
The US portion of Tokyopop is closing down.
Yes, you did hear me correctly.
So to all you manga fans out there, we have to stop this. Think about it, even to those of you who read online manga. This is going to affect EVERY SINGLE manga reader out in the US. First, Tokyopop was one of the most reliable distributors of manga in the US, taking up titles like "Maid-Sama", "Hetalia", and "Chibi Vampire", just to name a few. Through their selection of hundreds of series, they have given the best translation and the best quality manga.
For those of you mangafox.com or other manga site users, I'm sure that HALF of the manga scans up there are from Tokyopop books. It will be much harder for ALL of us to find the manga we want to read, or for us to get it faster.
WE CANNOT ALLOW THEM TO BE SHUT DOWN.
None of us can allow this.
Thus, this petition has been created.
To all of you out there, I'm counting on you to help me keep Tokyopop's US based operations running.
They will not go down. WE will not go down.

We, the undersigned, call on the headquarters of TOKYOPOP K.K. in Japan to continue operations of the Los Angeles based Tokyopop, as well as to continue publishing manga for the enjoyment of fans everywhere.
We, the undersigned, call on the headquarters of TOKYOPOP K.K. in Japan to restart the Tokyopop website, if re-instating US headquarters is not possible, so that US readers may continue ordering English translated manga.
We, the undersigned, call on the headquarters of Tokyopop to prevent us from developing health-related issues relating to manga-deprivation, stress, and depression.
We, the undersigned, call on the headquarters of TOKYOPOP K.K. in Japan to restart the Tokyopop website, if re-instating US headquarters is not possible, so that US readers may continue ordering English translated manga.
