Background (Preamble):
The City of Austin has announced plans to designate Bull Creek Dog Park "on-leash" only beginning September 8, and will close the park in October for 7-8 months for renovations. The renovations will likely preclude the park from being reopened with off-leash privileges.
Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on the City of Austin to keep Bull Creek Dog Park open and off-leash pending a mutually acceptable solution between Bull Creek Dog Off Leash Group / Bull Creek Foundation and the City of Austin.
If a mutually acceptable solution cannot be reached by March 31, 2010, Bull Creek Dog Park should remain open and off-leash until a suitable off-leash dog park is opened in Northwest Austin.
