Petition Background (Preamble):
The Maui Filipino Community Council has been in existence since 1959 and a fallout began when its legal counsel filed papers through the Department of Consumer Affairs in Hawaii and took the name, listing him as the sole agent of the organization.
He then held his own election, forming this new group dismissing officers that were already in place to include the groups activities.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to investigate the illegal election of the Maui Filipino Community Council in December 2011 and to remove its officers that were elected and reinstate the officers that were elected on August 28, 2011.
