Essex County Council and a private developer have submitted plans to finance the rebuilding of Chigwell Primary School by building 66 (mainly) luxury homes on adjacent Green Belt land.
Petition:
We, the undersigned, strongly object to the plans to finance the rebuilding of Chigwell Primary School by building on adjacent Green Belt land.
We deplore both the loss of countryside and the pressures on roads and infrastructure which this plan would effect, and believe that school maintenance and renewal ought to be paid for from existing education budgets.
