Background (Preamble):
British Waterways are planning to erect a Ferris Wheel at the Gloucester Docks, right in front of The Barge Arm apartments.
This Wheel will be 35 Metres high with 24 gondolas, carrying a maximum of 144 people. The residents of The Barge Arm will not be able to look out of their windows or open their windows between June and August 2009 due to the noise.
There is also the potential intrusion of privacy as people will be able look into the flats. The Wheel will be in operation beween 8am and 8pm 7 days a week for over 10 weeks.
