Petition Background (Preamble):
Monday May 24, 2010 there will be a meeting at E.T. Belsaw-Mount Vernon School with Dr. Nichols the Mobile County Superintendent. During this meeting he will be proposing that we close our Middle School and that our students be “BUSED” to Rosa A. Lott Middle School in Citronelle Alabama, 30 minutes away.
He may feel that it is best for our children; however, collective as a community, we do not. We had a town meeting on May 21, 2010 and we have decided not to let this happen. Help save E.T. Belsaw Middle School from Closing.

We the concerned citizen of Mount Vernon, Alabama intend on keeping our Middle School children in Mount Vernon, Al and not moving 30 minutes away to Rosa A. Lott in Citornelle, Alabama.
