Description/History:
Personal property tax is an unfair tax on the ownership of assets in the state of Missouri.
Missouri is one of only a few states that continue to tax its residents by what they own.
It is time to end this tax, allowing the people to keep a very small portion, of what they are already giving up in taxation.

Section 9. That the people have the right peaceably to assemble for their common good, and to apply to those invested with the powers of government for redress of grievances by petition or remonstrance.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on the State of Missouri, to put an end to personal property tax that is charged on each individual, in each county, in the state of Missouri.
We ask that this issue be put to a vote by each registered citizen of this state, and its results be final as a decision by the people for the people.
We ask that no other filing or pleading be attached to our petition, and that it be voted on by its own merit, and if the vote is in favor of our petition, that the personal property tax be eliminated permanently with no new tax being created in its replacement.
