Petition Background (Preamble):
POEA imposed the rules and regulations for every Filipino Household Service Worker who go out and work to other countries to have a Standard Employment Contract. One can not go out of the country without this contract.
This Standard Employment Contract is to ensure the safety and well-being of every worker to be taken cared of.
Written in this contract, among others are, zero percent agency fees, US$400 minimum monthly salary and weekly off days.
But many agencies in Singapore altered this contract, ignored what's written in favour of employers, a sign of disrespect and offensive to our government. This action drove our fellow domestic workers into exploitation and abused.
We are therefore, calling the attention of our Ambassador Minda Cruz, Philippine Embassy-Singapore to post tougher penalty to these errant agencies and to delicenced them.

We, the undersigned, calling the office of Ambassador Minda Cruz, Ambassador, Philippine Embassy-Singapore to be tough and firm against Singapore Employment Agencies who altered POEA Contract.
Should imposed tougher penalty by banning them from hiring Filipinos and delicenced them.
