The planned HPV vaccination programme for girls to protect against cervical cancer has been cancelled by the Government.
Health Minister Mary Harney has announced that the programme to vaccinate 12-year-old girls against the HPV virus that causes cervical cancer, which was to have begun from next September, will not go ahead.
