Description/History:
I am a current nursing and prospective midwifery student who lives on the lower end of the Mornington Peninsula. I have an overwhelming interest in the return of the maternity ward at Rosebud Hospital which was closed down due to a lack of obstetric services.
I, like many others were born at this much loved Hospital that saw the birth of over 300 babies each year. I have seen first hand the distress it is causing local women, their partner’s, family’s and friend's who now have to travel up to an hour to get to Frankston.
It is inequitable for the local community and it is for this reason that I am asking you to sign this petition that I can present to Victorian parliament.

We, the undersigned community on the mornington peninsula, call on the Victorian Government to provide the necessary funding to recruit the obstetric services required to re-open the maternity ward at Rosebud Hospital.
