Legalization of Cannabis

Dear President Obama,

We the undersigned citizens of the United State of America, including our supporters around the world, request the abolishment of the prohibition of Cannabis as soon as it is legally possible.

Legalization would provide relief to patients seeking marijuana as an alternate medical choice. We also advocate marijuana for spiritual and recreational use.

Legalization would eliminate the criminal element and violence associated with drug cartels and organized crime syndicates.

Legalization would help stem the downward spiral of our economy and eliminate the unjust arrests and incarceration of countless of our citizens.

Marijuana can be taxed and provide needed revenue, the same as tobacco and alcohol, with the identical restrictions they currently have.

Upon becoming a legitimate commodity, the consumer can be offered a safer product for a reasonable price.
