One owner within the Argyll Arcade, Scotland’s oldest shopping mall has recently registered the name ‘Argyll Arcade’ and attempted to charge other owners for the privilege of using this address.
Petition:
We, the undersigned, fully support the terms of the Early Day Motion recently tabled by Mohammed Sarwar MP regarding the Argyll Arcade in Glasgow.
The name Argyll Arcade has been known and recognised by generations of Glaswegians.
No individual should be allowed to exploit the name for their exclusive advantage or force others to pay for the privilege of using their own address.
